Dovedale & Stepping Stones

Dovedale is a beautiful valley in the South Peaks, owned and maintained by the National Trust. Lovely walks and the famous Stepping Stones across the Dove River.

High Peak Trail

A 17 mile trail on the route of the long closed High Peak Railway, running between Dowlow near Buxton to the High Peak Junction at Cromford.

Monsal Trail

The Monsal Trail is a traffic free route from Blackwell Mill to Bakewell for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and wheelchair users. Spectacular scenery, tunnels and a viaduct.

Tissington Trail

The London and North Western Railway first opened in 1899. Following the closure of the line around seventy years later, the Peak District National Park bought the route in 1971 and turned it into a traffic free trail for walkers and cyclists.
