As part of North End Mill, the building originally dates from the 18th century, and in the 19th century it was one of five mills in Wirksworth that between them manufactured 800 miles of bureaucratic 'Red Tape' weekly.
Converted to a cottage about 3 years ago, it sits on a quiet private lane that leads to a bridge across the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway line and then on to footpaths that take you towards Bolehill and the gritstone outcrop on the hill above known as Black Rocks.

Despite its quiet location, it is only a few minutes easy walk to the town centre and all the shops, eateries and visitor attractions that Wirksworth has to offer.  It has the convenience of a modest sized Co-op store and petrol station two minutes walk away.

New for 2023 is a Project EV charger by the private parking space immediately outside the cottage for the convenience of electric car owners.  Electricity is charged at cost + payment fees.
